"Better Choices for a Brighter Future"

Thimsha  (Valley) Youth  Sports is  a Non-Profit organization established  in 1999. We  currently  have over 150 boys  and  girls between the ages  of  5 and  15 from the   San  Fernando Valley   and   surrounding   communities  participating   in  our program.  The   main  objective  is  to  teach  these  children  self - discipline,  self-respect, pride, honesty, loyalty and  how to work together through physical fitness and  sports.   We  have  seen  many  kids  changed  for   the  better   as  they  have participated  in  our program  and  several of them have stayed with sports  all  the way  through  college.  However, we are currently  limited  to  the number of  kids we  can  accept  into our  program.  Our desire  is  to expand our program to reach more  children   in  our community and  to  install  characteristics  necessary to  be successful,  productive, and  healthy  adults, which  in  turn empowers  the family, keeps  kids off  the street,  and encourage  the circulation  of monies three times in our community before it leaves.

Currently,  our  community  has  High  Schools  participating  in Youth Sports that have  a  very  high concentration  of  Youth Sports.  Our schools  are overcrowded and  the activities to the youth are very limited.  There is  a  serious need for  more Youth  Programs  and  facilities  in  our  community.  With  the  expansion  of  the Valley Conference, we  plan to integrate  with other  ongoing  programs within the Community,  the  State,  and  the Nation.  We  also plan to develop special events, volunteer  participation,   government   relation,  parent   involvement,  interfacing with  local   schools,   health,  safety,   computer  literacy,   child care,   and   good citizenship.  We  plan  to work  in  conjunction with  the  schools  and  community throughout  its  development.  Thimsha (Valley) Youth  Sports  wants  input  from  all our parents, grandparents, and our local businesses as well.

In  order  for Thimsha (Valley) Youth Sports  to  successfully  meet  its  expansion and  development  plans we will need  to acquire some land  in our community.  A building,   technical  assistance,   and   equipment  for  our   Sports  Programs.   As expansion   continues  we  would  like  to  get  involved in sports such as, football, baseball, boxing, hockey,  golf, and literacy programs such  as  reading, computers and training.  Program  will  also  consist of  mentoring,  such as  Big Brothers and community  dads/grandpas,  and  our  good  citizens   programs:  Graffiti  removal, tree planting, and neighborhood watch.

We  are  asking  that  any  and  everyone  who has an interest  in  the future of our children  to  assist  us  in  obtaining  the aforementioned  items  and  achieving our goals   for  this  grogram.  All  donations  are  tax  deductible  and  we  at  Thimsha (Valley) Youth  Sports feel  there  is  no  greater  return  in  your  investment  than seeing  a child succeed  and reach his/her full potential!!!  Together,  we can make a difference.

Thank you for taking the time to consider our request.
